Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Voice Logs mobile application, website, APIs, and related services (together, the "Service") provided by Bytentic SIA ("Bytentic," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility and Accounts

You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms and meet any minimum age required by applicable law. You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information, maintaining the security of your account, and activity performed through it. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

2. The Service

Voice Logs lets you record, upload, organize, transcribe, summarize, sync, and work with audio and related content. Features may vary by device, location, subscription, or Service version. We may add, change, limit, or discontinue features over time.

3. Recordings and Consent

Laws about recording conversations vary. You are responsible for giving any required notices and obtaining all permissions or consents before recording, uploading, or processing a conversation. You may use the Service only for content you are legally permitted to record, upload, and process.

4. Your Content

You retain ownership of recordings, transcripts, notes, and other content you submit to the Service ("Your Content"). You grant Bytentic a limited, non-exclusive license to host, store, copy, transmit, and process Your Content only as needed to operate, secure, maintain, and provide the Service and the features you request.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to provide Your Content and allow us to process it as described in these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

5. AI-Generated Output

Transcripts, summaries, titles, action items, and other generated outputs may contain errors, omissions, or unexpected results. You are responsible for reviewing output before relying on or sharing it. The Service is not a substitute for professional legal, medical, financial, or other advice.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• use the Service or Your Content in violation of law or another person's rights;
• record or process people without any notice or consent required by applicable law;
• upload malware, harmful code, or content intended to disrupt the Service;
• probe, bypass, disable, or interfere with security, access controls, or usage limits;
• use automated means to overload, scrape, or access the Service except through supported APIs;
• reverse engineer the Service except where applicable law expressly permits it;
• use the Service to exploit, harm, threaten, or impersonate another person.

7. Subscriptions and Payment

Some features may require a paid subscription. Pricing, billing periods, renewal terms, and cancellation options are shown before purchase and may be managed by the app store or payment provider used for the transaction. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law or stated by the applicable provider.

8. Third-Party Services

The Service may rely on or connect to third-party services, including app stores, authentication providers, cloud infrastructure, and AI providers. Their own terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for third-party products or services outside our control.

9. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, and other materials, is owned by Bytentic or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service or permission to use our names, logos, or branding except as needed to use the Service.

10. Suspension and Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created risk for the Service or others, failed to pay applicable fees, or used the Service unlawfully. Where practical, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and reliability. Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot be excluded by law.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Bytentic will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Latvia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Latvia will have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives you the right to bring a claim in another court or under another law.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date and provide additional notice where required. Continued use after updated Terms take effect means you accept them.
